  Dr. Stone insisted that we do not reinvent the wheel, but rather allow the evolution of our knowledge.   Alfalfa is the 4th largest crop grown in the U.S.  That's a lot of grass.  Wheat is one of the top 4.  Due to their growing environment, which may be in close proximity, alfalfa may be contaminated by cross pollination.  We don't want to take that chance.
  Wheat, rye, and barley all contain gluten.  Any one of these grains may well be processed in the same facility as alfalfa.  This may  indicate that alfalfa is contaminated and certainly indicates the possibility of a toxic environment.
